Must be a resident of Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Seneca or Wyandot counties, Ohio. Call 800.860.5799 or 419.524.4144 or access online at Area Agency on Aging. They are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. I’d call them ASAP. Quantities limited, expires 12/31/2014.
- Catholic Charities in Mansfield, Ohio has funds remaining this year for payment of medical expenses, medication, medical supplies or equipment for those struggling financially. Contact them at 419.524.0733 or access online at Catholic Charities.
- Access the website Need Help Paying Bills and then plug in the State & local program for your locale.
- If you are too embarrassed to see for what you qualify as far as financial assistance in Ohio, check out this site: Ohio Benefit Bank or for non-ohio residents, go to The Benefit Bank. Get info from job and family services, Obamacare, etc.
Brian Flick of Mills Mills Fiely & Lucas, a state-wide Ohio firm, and I talked to Doug Theaker of WMFD-TV recently about debt relief.
